The IndieCade Festival is the only stand-alone independent-focused game festival in the nation. It is open to the industry and to the public.
Events include a festival workshops, keynotes, and family-focused activities, meet-and-greets with game creators, hands-on gameplay with a GameWalk, live games, Night Games and numerous social events.

IndieCade is held in multiple locations across downtown Culver City (Los Angeles), CA. The Festival offers a unique opportunity to play and preview the latest innovative indie video games and rub shoulders with the creators of the newest games, as well as legends from across the industry.
This year IndieCade will have a main headquarters/ central location -- the IndieCade Village. This indoor outdoor village is located at the corner of Main Street and Culver Blvd in the heart of downtown Culver City.

The 2012 IndieCade Festival is full of different events and sessions including:
The IndieCade Chalk Games, Junk Games, World Model Workshop, Boardgame Making, Iron Game Designer Challenge, as well as panels with IndieCade's featured independent game creators from around the world.
Big games or live games turn IndieCade into a giant playground.
Each year IndieCade provides a forum for new types of public games and play. Games have included city-wide zombie tag, a twister racing games, mad hatter tea parties, paper mache pigeons pummeled with wiffleball bats, a virtual putt-putt course, paparazzi, subtle mobs, and more.
The Big Games at the festival will be played October 6th.
The GameWalk / Festival Arcade is free and open to the public.

Top independent games from around the world will be featured at the heart of the IndieCade festival GameWalk. The GameWalk are a unique opportunity for enthusiasts, developers, and the general public to play these unique games, often before they make the big times. IndieCade's 2011 edition featured 36 games and their creators who came from 27 different countries.
The GameWalk will be open October 6 & 7 from 10 am until 7 pm and Sunday October 7th, from noon until 5 pm.

Game U is a special conference at the IndieCade Festival of Independent Games that focuses on pulling back the curtain on the game development process,
and the work that game designers do

Night games are a unique and memorable annual event at IndieCade included with the Festival Writsband.
Saturday night big games are unique to the IndieCade experience and a memorable festival highlight. The 2011 Night Games line-up included Johann Sebastian Joust, Shadowplay, superHYPERCUBE, Pxl Pshr as well as ongoing rounds of Ninja.
Night games run Saturday, October 6 from 7pm until midnight.
