//Jane Pinckard (IndieXchange Chair)
Jane Pinckard is associate director of the Center for Games and Playable Media at the University of California, Santa Cruz. She is internationally known for her long-running blog GameGirlAdvance, which explores games and art in a broader cultural context.
Jane came to Santa Cruz from Foundation 9 Entertainment, where she worked in Business Development. As a games journalist, Jane’s writing has been seen in a variety of publications including Theme Magazine, Xbox Nation and Salon. In 2005, she co-created The 1Up show, a weekly video internet show about game culture for the 1Up Network. An expert in gaming, she has lectured at Stanford, Carnegie Mellon, California College of the Arts and Whitman College and served as a non-resident fellow at Stanford University in Lawrence Lessig’s Law in Virtual Societies class. Jane has also spoken at South by Southwest, PAX and the Game Developers Conference, the industry's leading tradeshow for videogame developers. She currently serves as the Vice Chair of the International Game Developers Association.
//Geoff Zatkin (IndieXchange Advisor)
Geoffrey “GZ” Zatkin is President and COO of EEDAR, the premier research and business-intelligence company of the video game industry. Co-founding the company in 2006, Mr. Zatkin oversees daily operations and directs development of EEDAR's current and future product lines.
In addition to his work with EEDAR, Mr. Zatkin has over a decade's worth of video game industry experience, having performed in senior design roles for international corporate conglomerates and independent development studios. Geoffrey was an integral part of the original EverQuest design team and helped pioneer the rise of MMO games.
Geoffrey has a background in psychology, video games and pop culture, and lives in San Diego with his wife and two cats.
//Megan Gaiser (IndieXchange Advisor)
As Chief Creative Strategy Officer of Her Interactive (HI), Megan Gaiser sets creative direction, brand and portfolio expansion and cultivates strategic partnerships. Under her stewardship, Her Interactive has grown from a boutique company to an emerging competitor with the globally-loved Nancy Drew franchise games sales topping nine million units world wide. The Nancy Drew PC franchise is the #1 in the U.S. five years running. Her Interactive has garnered 20 consecutive Parents' Choice Awards. Megan has been named one of the "Game Industry's 100 Most Influential Women" by Next Generation and "Top 10 Most Influential Women of the Decade" by Gaming Angels. She also received the 2010 Microsoft Women in Games award.
Prior to Her Interactive in 1997, Ms. Gaiser spent 11 years producing award-winning film documentaries, winning many awards, including 15 Cine Golden Eagle awards, three New York festival awards, and the International Documentary Milano Award. She also spent time on the Microsoft team as a Producer.
