This year we wanted to provide our guests with some ideas about where to stay during the festival, in order to make booking your journey that much easier.

Below, please fine a range of hotels and motels centrally located, close to public transportation and recommended by previous guests and travelers.

IndieCade in Culver CIty is located just 15-20 minutes North of LAX. With most of these locations there is no need for a car.

    Take the #1 Bus straight down Washington Blvd., bike or drive.

    Affordable, clean, attractive accommodations with good downstairs diner serving breakfast through dinner. There are thirty-six rooms available for October.Check prices online to find the best deal. Oh, and the Metro Diner is one of the best-kept secrets in Los Angeles. You get a breakfast voucher for staying at the hotel.

    Inexpensive, quaint, only minutes from IndieCade Village, this motel has rates starting as low as $79 if you make your reservations online. This place gets great Yelp reviews for an inexpensive motel. There are 15 rooms available in all, so book now before they are gone!

    Take the 733 or 33 bus lines, walk or drive (27-30 minutes by bus)

    This hotel is the place to be for anyone who wants a young/hip locale with upscale accommodations, and right off the Venice boardwalk. Have a look online at their current rates, and please don’t forget to checkout the fantastic rooftop bar, High, if you choose to stay here. But make reservations in advance. Cocktail/sunset hour books quickly.

    Take the Line 6 bus to the Line 1 bus into downtown Culver City (48 minutes by bus)

    Standard corporate hotel, good reputation, clean rooms and close to LAX and downtown Culver. Rates start at $159 for rooms with king and double beds.

    Step out of the front door and onto festival grounds. The Culver Hotel is located in the heart of downtown Culver City and is literally steps from the 2011 IndieCade Village. Slightly pricier accommodations. Great downstairs bar with both indoor and outdoor seating and live music. Rates start at $199 per room plus tax for IndieCade attendees. When you book, make sure you say you are an IndieCade guest to receive this rate.

    Take the #1 bus down Washington Blvd. (approx. 43 minutes travel time by bus)

    Cozy Bed and Breakfast in historic home. Ice tea and cakes in the afternoon. Minutes from the Venice Boardwalk and Beach. Custom rooms. Perfect for guests who are willing to splurge a bit on costs (rooms start at around $150) and do not mind driving a small distance to get to the festival.

    Take the #23 bus to the #33 bus and walk (56 minutes), bike or drive.

    Rates start at $185 for weekday nights, $225 for weekend nights. Prices vary depending on the room. Breakfast and afternoon wine and appetizers included in price as well as use of activity equipment (i.e. bicycles).
