Anyball

Hang Ruan, Laurenz Riklin, and Paolo Salcedo

Inspired by games kids make up on the fly, Anyball is a multiplayer game about procedurally generated sports. Each round random rules are being created and combined together. Every rule draws from a huge pool of sports and toy objects which are used in the competition. Players know that they have to score points but not necessarily how to, so the main activity is exploring the rules and figuring out the objectives.

Similar to games like Gang Beasts or Human: Fall Flat, the main interactions in Anyball are heavily based on playful physics. Players control cartoon like characters with procedural animations to mess around in the chaotic playgrounds of Anyball.
