Some of our favorite games have come from indies living on the East Side, from Toronto down to Georgia. We are proud to announce our third annual IndieCade East, February 13-15, 2015 at the Museum of the Moving Image, New York.
Three days of talks, panels, workshops, exhibits, and games throughout the museum, curated from IndieCade’s diverse and brilliant community of designers, thinkers, and players. This year’s conference will be curated from submitted talks. Talk submissions are open through November 17th.
The conference is complemented by workshops covering a range of topics, from introductions to popular digital gamemaking tools, to hands on game design lessons. IndieCade East will include the highly popular IndieCade Show and Tell, an eSports tournament, and a new spin on IndieCade’s Night Games event. Companies such as PlayStation and Facebook will exhibit at the Festival, sharing new games with the IndieCade audience.
Instead of bringing back the same old voices who headline every conference, we’re bringing in a whole new line-up of speakers and experiences to the stage!

The designers and developers of these games, individuals or small teams independent of large studios and publishers, take daring creative risks to explore new forms and methods of play.
More exhibitors will be announced closer to the date. For more information about exhibition and sponsorship opportunities, click here.
Use this opportunity to playtest your newest prototype, show off your unreleased works-in-progress, ask other developers for advice, promote your Kickstarter, or just raise awareness for your game. Sign ups are first come-first serve and will be announced the first week in December.
Three days of talks covering topics ranging from getting started with independent development to theories of play, as well as discussions of the future of the medium its creators.
We want to acknowledge established independent developers along with those who are not as well known, be they newcomers looking to find their voices or veterans who have not been given their due attention.
