Using mobile phones, Google Cardboard, web browser, Arduino, customized bio-sensors and handcrafted masks, MASK explores identity through experiences in both the virtual and real world. Users can interact with the people that inhabit both worlds, addressing social anxiety, distance, isolation, and nonverbal communication.
Laura Juo-Hsin Chen, 陳若昕, is a creative technologist and coder specializing in 3D, virtual reality, interaction design, and doodle.
Based in Brooklyn, Laura is currently a research resident in Interactive Telecommunications Program (ITP) of NYU.
Laura is interested in combining visuals with physical to create mixed reality and unusual human interactions. She's excited to offer experience that will let people see the world differently.
