Battlegrid is a toy-to-life strategy game for Playtable, the world’s first tabletop game console.
Two players duel with their warriors, using a combination of physical cards and miniatures brought to life on the Playtable surface. Swiping a card casts a spell and moving a miniature can create a tactical opening for the win! Battlegrid is a taste of the deeper and more immersive toy-to-life games that are now possible with Playtable.

We believe playing together, face-to-face around the same table, is the best kind of gaming. That’s why we created the PlayTable, a board game console that anchors our play with the people right in front of us.
There is something wonderful about physical pieces, something that reminds us of childhood, and the true freedom of play. That’s why we gave PlayTable a super power that no other gaming device has: PlayTable can sense unique physical objects placed anywhere on its touchscreen. This is possible through a NFC detection technique similar to portals for toy-to-life figures. PlayTable can bring any toy-to-life figure (Amiibo, Skylander, Infinity, or Lego Dimensions) or NFC-tagged object into its games without a peripheral “portal”. The entire PlayTable screen is the magic portal for your figures!
PlayTable can play classic board games, toy-to-life games, and everything in between!
The Prizm Labs team has been developing Playtable for two years and plans to launch in 2017.
