Maze of Heart

Maze of Heart is an attempt to use Kinect in a different way using your whole body. The player's body is mapped to a robot on screen and he/she has to move his body around (dance in awkward ways) to be able to move different heart pieces all around the body of the robot to build him a new heart.

Developer Info

We are 5 women from ETC class of 2015. Maze of Heart was created with a collaborative design process thanks to our small team and our strong interest in game design. We used constraints from our assignment while brainstorming and once we were pleased with the idea, we started focusing on our own roles. Programmers were tweaking level design as they were developing.

Developer's Artistic Statement

This game was created with a focus on naive guests and indirect control. The focus was to create a game which even someone who is not experienced playing games can play easily. We wanted to create a game with a very strong mirror effect. We were inspired by "marble maze" and created "Maze of Heart" to enable players use their own body to move the marble around.
