A #SmashThePatriarchy adaptation of Shakespeare's Measure For Measure, staged as a card game for reproductive rights. The 10 - 15 Audience members play Juliet, a poor pregnant woman who has been dealt a rough hand. In each of 10 Rounds, the Juliets have to make choices about who to love and who to trust. They each get 5 - 10 cards to start with, and are advised to play their cards close to their chests. A tyrannical Duke, a prude Nun, a demanding Prostitute, and the baby's Daddy all want something from these Juliets. The performers speak directly to the Juliets, and the game is facilitated by a King who might be trying to save himself, rather than look out for her. In the end, One lucky Juliet will possess the winning Queen Of Hearts, but if she plays it, she sacrifices her own future. Winning is a double bind and there are no perfect options.
