Ordnungswissenschaft

About Ordnungswissenschaft

“Ordnungswissenschaft” is a physical game in which four players rearrange stacked boxes according to rigid instructions. The players are part of a narrow procedural system and thus become machine-like. "Ordnungswissenschaft" was developed by Till Wittwer, Marek Plichta and Jakob Penca during the Play 10 festival. The interactions of the central procedural machine (the players), become a reflexive and insightful look at interactions between human beings.

Developer Info

Marek Plichta is a visual artist who co-designed the game, Spirits. He taught Game Design at the University of Applied Sciences in Potsdam and Interface Design at the Designschool Schwerin.
Till Wittwer holds a BA in Theater Studies and currently studies at School of the Art Institute of Chicago, Illinois. His performances explore social interactions, and the crises and failures that can result from the tensions within power structures.
