Séance is an interactive installation piece that features custom digital hardware... or at least that’s what you’ll perceive it to be. In reality, it’s a profane ritual that utilizes the arcane power of unholy artifacts. Three participants perform in the experience, each with the goal to contact their deceased friend and untangle the web of lies that surround his death.

Twocan Consortium is a small troupe of ludonarrative occultists that roams the dark woods of UC Santa Cruz. They are devoted to the desecration of all that is held sacred, especially traditional assumptions in video games.
Séance’s design was heavily inspired by the themed spaces designed by Disney Imagineering and the social puzzle solving of escape the room games. As development continued, we found ourselves constantly straying into other fields of art, especially theater.
