The Average Everyday Adventures of Samantha Browne is an interactive story about making oatmeal and anxiety. Samantha is an introverted college student who must leave the safety and security of her room to venture outside. The game's illustrative comic style and color scheme tricks players into believing it's a cute story about a simple task. Teens and adults quickly find out however, that helping Samantha isn't nearly as simple as they thought.

As a writer, I've always been interested in telling stories about characters you aren't quite sure you like. I decided to make this visual novel as a way to explore anxiety using what many would consider an incredibly banal task, the task of making oatmeal.
In games there's this insatiable desire to win, we want to find out how to make a character happy, we want to solve the problems and fix everything. I wanted to create a game where that wasn't possible. What if you couldn't fix a character, heck what if you weren't even sure you wanted to?
