About Walden, a game

Walden, a game, is a first person simulation of the life of American philosopher Henry David Thoreau during his experiment in self-reliant living at Walden Pond. The central design question behind the project is: can we make a game that translates Thoreau’s experiment in living into a playable experience?

About USC Game Innovation Lab

The Walden design team is led by Tracy Fullerton, who has been working on the idea for the past seven years with a small team at the USC Game Innovation Lab that includes lead artist Lucas Peterson, lead programmer Todd Furmanski, composer and sound designer Michael Sweet as well as a number of other incredibly dedicated artists and designers.
