IndieCade Festival is the premiere event dedicated to celebrating independent games around the world. Now in its 10th year the IndieCade Festival, our flagship event, is held each fall in the Los Angeles area. The celebration is open to the industry and to the public. Our Festival offers unique opportunities to play and preview the latest innovative indie game and interactive experiences of all types alongside their creators. Attendees enjoy games, signature play events, talks, workshops and social events with creators of these new titles, as well as legends from across the industry.
The IndieCade Festival is preceded by a developer retreat (IndieXchange), followed by the Festival itself, a weekend of exhibits, keynotes, sessions, workshops, business networking, social activities, tournaments and entertainment, as well as our tenth annual Innovation Awards.
IndieCade East, now in its fifth year, is an East coast compliment to the main Festival. IndieCade East is held at the Museum of the Moving Image in New York City, making it an ideal destination for east coast and European creators. Each IndieCade East event takes on its own character and theme, built upon by past IndieCade Festivals, newly curated events, alongside a packed schedule of workshops, talks, and play events. IndieCade East also hosts a popular show-and-tell event featuring an exciting array of up-and-coming work.
In 2016 IndieCade Europe launched in Paris, France at the the Conservatoire National des Arts et Métiers with a focus on our international and European games and audience. The events is filled with gameplay, an interactive exhibit, show-and-tell, dynamic keynotes, and sessions in multiple languages, social events, and a great deal of industry shaping and forward thinking fun. We look forward to our next installation of IndieCade Europe and all that it has to offer the community of independent artists abroad.
Debuting in 2007, IndieCade has pushed the envelope of innovation in the industry through our presence at the Electronic Entertainment Expo in Los Angeles, CA. IndieCade curates a diverse, incomparable spectrum of video games, installations, and tabletop games to share with the E3 audience and media, thereby exposing our convention audience to new art and celebrating the extensive creativity developed and realized in the production of independent games.
