Inaugural European Conference and Showcase Scheduled for late November in Paris.

LOS ANGELES—May 23, 2016—IndieCade, the premier international festival of independent games is excited to announce their first European conference and exhibition. IndieCade Europe will be held in Paris, France on November 18-19, 2016. The event, in association with Capital Games, will be structured similar to IndieCade’s successful IndieCade East conference.

Now entering its tenth year, IndieCade festival is the premiere stand-alone independent game festival, with its international flagship festival on the west coast and an annual showcase of its games at E3. With the growing importance of the independent movement, four years ago IndieCade created IndieCade East.

IndieCade’s events spots and highlight important independent work that has gone on to change the industry, as well as, achieve critical and commercial success. Starting from IndieCade’s first featured titles in 2007 with early indie break out hits such as Braid, N+, and developers such as Thatgamecompany. Over the past two years, IndieCade has put an early spotlight on games such as Her Story, Hyperlight Drifter, Axiom Verge, Armello, Nidhogg, Shovel Knight, and many more.

“Our expansion into Europe reflects how important IndieCade’s international community has become,” said Stephanie Barish, Chief Executive Officer, IndieCade. “IndieCade Europe has been created as an opportunity to draw together community from across Europe to network, attend presentations and workshops, as well as to participate in game showcases and social events designed to support independent European game developers and aspiring creators grow their craft, refine their businesses, and flourish as artists in this rapidly expanding global, entertainment industry.”

“Welcoming IndieCade Europe to Paris is a great opportunity for French and European videogame creators to get the attention they deserve, to gather and share their passion. We're proud to think that France has always been a welcoming land for creation and we're thrilled to give our support to IndieCade Europe. We can't wait to welcome you all in Paris” said Helene Delay, Managing director of Capital Games.
