What’s a Flash Jam?
A flash mob and a game jam combined! Flash Jams are bite sized game jams that happen by surprise! When a Flash Jam is announced, form a team from the people around you, and get ready to jam!
How does it work?
- Listen for a Flash Jam Pre-Jam-announcement!
- Quick! Form a team! The Flash Jam will start soon!
- Make a game!
- Another announcement will call the Jam to a close. Join us at one of the two Flash Jam tents to play and share.

What kind of games can I make?
A better question is, “what kinds of games can’t I make?” As long as nobody’s getting hurt, and nothing’s getting broken that shouldn’t be getting broken, make it! Use your best judgement, but don’t hesitate to try new stuff!
For each Flash Jam, we’ll have a bunch of fun objects available to build your games around, but if we run out or you’re feeling inspired, you can use whatever you want!
