Floppy Knights blends elements of grid-based tactical games with deck building and card collecting in a coming of age adventure about a young inventor named Phoebe and her bionic arm buddy, Carlton. Together, they have the ability to summon quirky companions known as Floppy Knights, who will help them fight monsters and find themselves in the process.

With Floppy Knights, Marlowe wanted to create something that her younger self would be inspired by. It’s a callback to a game series and genre that she, many of our dev team members, and many current game developers grew up playing.

Our hope is that when playing Floppy Knights, players feel a sense of nostalgia in returning to a familiar genre and excitement at seeing what we’ve done to innovate the game design, aesthetic, and story. We also hope that players not familiar with the genre, or perhaps have been previously intimidated by it, find their foray in the world of Floppy Knights to be fun and (hopefully) spark further interest in this type of game!
