Thumper is a rhythm violence game. It combines classic rhythm-action with speed and physicality. You control a space beetle while careening towards confrontation with an insane giant head from the future.
Thumper strips the rhythm-action genre down to its primitive, pulsing core. The game's rhythm-based mechanics are simple and familiar, but designed to feel as intense and violent as possible. It isn't Rhythm Heaven, it's rhythm hell.
Drool is a team of two game industry veterans, Brian Gibson and Marc Flury. They met while working at Harmonix, in Boston. Thumper's game design is a collaboration between Brian and Marc. Brian creates the art and music at his home in Providence, Rhode Island. Marc does the programming from his home in Seoul Korea. They've been working on the game for six years!
