The Norwood Suite is a first-person adventure game, the direct follow-up to Cosmo D's last game, Off-Peak. In The Norwood Suite, you explore an old hotel and uncover its secrets through eavesdropping, direct conversation and exploration. It features an open non-linear narrative, both familiar and open to interpretation, an inventory system that serves as a means for interacting with the hotels' assorted characters, and physics-driven doors and drawers0, meant to further immerse the player into the world and begging to be opened.
Inspiration for the game comes from titles like Gone Home and Soma. Non-game inspiration comes from the likes of Twin Peaks, Wong Kar-Wai, mid-century Classical album art, visits to Upstate New York, and the New York music scene and DJ culture at large.
The narrative description:
You arrive at the old Hotel Norwood, hoping to run a simple errand for a mysterious new friend. Pretty soon, it becomes clear you're in for a lot more than you bargained for. Meet memorable characters, explore a strange old building packed with secrets and lost memories, and absorb yourself into the thick atmosphere of a soundtrack wholly integrated into its world.
