Ziff is a space explorer, that travels to faraway planets to save her lost friends. Game and toy for children aged 5 to 8, Ziff is an exploration on tangible interfaces for children. It’s a physical toy that you can build and play with on screen. Ziff’s abilities are defined through different tangible configurations which appear virtually. The toy also acts as a controller throughout the game.
Alejandra Molina, Interaction Designer and Engineer, designed and developed Ziff for her final project at the graduate program at Copenhagen Institute of Interaction Design in 2015.
A team formed along the way, during CIID and after.
In 2015, the artwork was done by Line Birgitte Borgensen and music by Nicklas Ngyren.
In 2016, a second version was made for GDC. Feild Craddock collaborated in designing the next version of the toy, while Andrés Molina and Rodrigo Cabrera developed the game again.
