IndieCade is pleased to present:
Davigo is an attempt to create a new kind of game that embraces the physical gameplay that VR offers, and contrasts it against a traditional third person gaming experience. Davigo brings together the two platforms and lets players compete using them on a shared stage.
Our goal is to expand the reach of VR. Davigo is intended to be approachable for the average player, but have depth for those who engage with the game. It is designed to be played with multiple people in the room, each swapping in-and-out of the headset and passing off the gamepad to try each player type. This makes it an excellent way to introduce new players to VR.
As the giant, players should feel strong and destructive, able to demolish the entire stage in an onslaught to defeat the warrior. As the warrior, players should feel on-edge and agile, using cunning and strategy to take out their colossal foe. While the giant is typically seen by players as the main draw, we strive to make the warrior’s gameplay just as exciting and engaging. At the end of the match, no matter who wins, the stage itself should reflect the destructive battle that took place.
Davigo is an expression of the games we want to play: games with new ideas that we’ve never seen or played before, that are universally fun and executed with a keen attention to detail.
