You are a digital exorcist, seeing beyond this reality into alternate timelines of the accused. Solve murders, purify the possessed, and purge their daemons. Lucifer Within Us asks you to solve non-linear, story rich mysteries with your wits, making observations and deductions in a world of daemonic possession and invasive soul-scanning technology.

The digital world of Lucifer Within Us offers a unique spiritual paradigm in which to explore the human experience. Imagine if an ancient culture developed while having access to information technology, and therefore its religion incorporates entities that exist in digital space. The Problem of Evil and theodicy are endlessly fascinating topics for the creative director Jongwoo, and form the thematic core for the game’s crimes and characters. He draws upon certain concepts like sin, daemons and possession to explore an alternate reality in which technological advancement did not result in a materialist culture, but became integrated into spiritualist beliefs. Lucifer Within Us is a world in which daemons truly exist and drive people to act on their darkest desires. It’s a statement about exploring our cultural obsession with maintaining an artificially constructed image rather than an authentic expression of our true selves.

About Kitfox Games

Kitfox Games is an independent Montreal-based game studio dedicated to developing and publishing only the highest quality games. We have a soft spot for exploring and discovering intriguing worlds. Kitfox Games started in 2013, with co-founders Tanya X. Short, Xin Ran Liu, and Jongwoo Kim. Overtime we’ve worked on many different games, from Moon Hunters to Boyfriend Dungeon, but we’ve kept our belief and values of always learning, being courageous, and growing together. We are a diverse crew of developers, with over 50% of us being women and hailing from many different countries. Together, we bring diferent ideas and dreams into our games, which have helped us breathe life into them.
