IndieCade Summer Game Design Internship

Spend part of your summer building a game designed to make the world a better place! IndieCade is pleased to announce a new internship opportunity available to students for summer 2024.

Description:
This six-week game design internship will provide you with the opportunity to work with a team on a game as part of our climate jam challenge. Designers and climate specialists from around the world come together each year to tackle this important issue and help build solutions. Climate jam theme will be announced on Earth Day, April 22nd.

Over the course of this internship you will work with a team of other interns, participate in four design sprints including ideation, prototyping, production, polish & marketing, as well as a post-mortem and advice about next steps. You will also have the opportunity to work with content experts and industry mentors.

Successful completion of the internship includes weekly milestones, meeting with mentors to discuss progress, and more. This is a part time obligation that we estimate to be approximately 5-10 hours a week.

Interns should be highly motivated. We seek to enable and trust our interns to work independently. Hours are flexible and based on your availability.

IndieCade’s internships are not paid, however we provide important benefits. These benefits will always be specifically tailored to each intern depending on interests and needs, additional  benefits can include academic credit (depending on school requirements), access to IndieCade events, free annual IndieCade memberships and/or submissions, networking and so much more. We are also able to provide letters of recommendation and introductions, as appropriate, upon request.
