Travel Assistance for Game Developers

IndieCade exists to celebrate the unlimited creative potential of independent games. In order for this potential to flourish, gaming must welcome, encourage, and empower participants from all backgrounds and walks of life.

It is with gratitude that we thank our partners, iThrive and Kickstarter whose contributions will make it possible to provide travel assistance to more than a dozen developers / games for the 2018 Festival this October in Los Angeles.

Once selected, Nominated and Gaming for Everyone selected developers will be eligible to apply for this assistance. Specific priority for this fund is given to game creators of color, women, the disabled, gender variant, and all marginalized populations, culturally, ethnically, and socio-economically, as well this initiative also encompasses games themselves that deal with those issues. Together, we choose to create a culture of respect, openness, and engagement, by maintaining a positive space where we honor our diversity, knowing it makes us stronger.

Are you an IndieCade Alumnus? We want to know! If you've been a speaker, organizer, juror, or presented your game at IndieCade or any IndieCade-related showcase (ex. IndieCade @ E3, IndieCade @ SIGGRAPH, etc. - doesn't need to have been a finalist) we'd like to be in touch.
